2026 Goal: Raise $90,000.

In 2025, we updated our name to Fitting Futures — formerly The White Cane Foundation — to better explain our mission as we enter a new era and participate in Give to Lincoln Day on May 28, 2026.

Last year, Fitting Futures raised $77,000 and with the match provided by the Lincoln Community Foundation (LCF), over $83,000 was raised to help us provide "bundles of Joy" to LPS students in our highest-need and Title I elementary schools. Out of the 500 non-profits that participated, we ranked #24 on the list.

That is because of the fantastic support we received from our donors. We couldn't be more proud! LOOK HOW YOU ALL SHOWED UP.

How can you make the greatest impact this year?
Our donors are the true heroes of our story. To maximize the impact of your gift, make a donation as part of Give to Lincoln Day, beginning Friday, May 1 and ending on Thursday, May 28.

Why donate early?

  • Visibility: Giving early raises our donation level as the site goes live at 12:00am on May 28, which is Give to Lincoln Day. The higher up we are, the more people will notice us and investigate how our mission of love serves our children.
  • Matching Funds: your early gift helps us receive a share of the $650,000 pool of matching funds, courtesy of the Lincoln Community Foundation, which makes the ultimate donation even higher. We are grateful for YOU!

Over 2,500 Kids Served
During the 2024-2025 school year, 2,510 students received two brand-new outfits each, totaling more than 5,000 outfits placed directly into the hands of children who needed them most.

How Many Schools?
Today, Fitting Futures proudly serves every one of the 19 high-need Title 1 schools in our community, and in Fall 2026, we're on track to serve even more deserving students.

What's in a bundle? 

  • 2 new pairs of pants
  • 2 tops 
  • 2 new pairs of socks and underwear 
  • 1 new pair of tennis shoes (to run faster and jump higher) 
  • Hygiene kit: body wash, bar soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush
