Get to know Nicole with a Q&A:
- What is one fun fact people may not know about you?
I love interior design or any home design projects. If I don’t have any going on of my own, I enjoy working with family and friends on theirs.
- What is your favorite activity to do in Lincoln or your favorite place to eat in Lincoln?
My favorite restaurant is Dish — I’m a foodie and love to share a great bottle of wine.
- What hobbies do you most enjoy?
I have been working hard on becoming a decent landscape photographer. It’s been really interesting, fun, and more complicated than I imagined it would be.
- Why is Fitting Futures important/appealing to you?
In 6th grade I remember being in the stall of the girls’ bathroom. A couple of kids came in making fun of a girl in rustler jeans and a pearl snap shirt. It was me; I was the girl. I suppose when I heard about Fitting Futures, they spoke to 12-year-old me. This wasn’t the first or the last time I was made fun of, and I’m thrilled that organizations like this exist to help our community children have a shot. I owe it to 12-year-old me to get out of that stall without feeling embarrassed and ashamed, and this is a great way to do that.
