Ron is a dedicated Community Builder with Lincoln Public Schools’ Community Learning Centers (CLC) Department. With over 11 years of experience in this field, he has been instrumental in connecting community businesses and programs to CLC sites and coaching and facilitating training and professional development opportunities. Ron primarily focuses on establishing community networks and highlighting neighborhood strengths and gifts in Lincoln, Nebraska.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and ethnic studies from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. He is actively involved in the community, serving on Youth Fitness Task Force and Lincoln Northeast Kiwanis committees. Ron also contributes as a board member for organizations, including the Nebraska Soccer Club and LUX Center for Arts, in addition to the White Cane Foundation. He even finds time to coach local high school football!

Ron’s outstanding contributions were recognized when he was awarded the Coordinators Leadership Award by IEL in 2022. His passion for community building and commitment to enhancing the lives of those in Lincoln, Nebraska, make him an invaluable asset to the Community Learning Centers and the broader community.

What is one fun fact people may not know about you?

I played the violin from 3rd grade to my senior year of High School.

What is your favorite activity to do in Lincoln or your favorite place to eat in Lincoln?

My favorite activity is coaching football, and my favorite restaurant is Venue.

What hobbies do you most enjoy?

I enjoy home projects and love golfing!

Why is the White Cane Foundation important/appealing to you?

It serves a greater purpose than just providing clothes to our students! WCF focuses on helping our youth in Lincoln, and I wanted to be part of that and help make an impact where I could.
