Let’s get to know Kathy with a little Q&A:

What is your favorite activity to do in Lincoln or your favorite place to eat in Lincoln?

I started going to my kids’ sports activities in 1998. We’re now at the point where we have the opportunity to travel to Bonn, Germany to watch our son play pro basketball.

You can often catch me dining out at MoMo or Piedmont Bistro. My fast food obsession is Runza!

What hobbies do you most enjoy?

My husband and I love wine — drinking it, talking about it, visiting vineyards and wineries. I am an avid reader, enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles, and walking the excellent trails in Lincoln. I am also learning to bake artisanal bread and crochet.

Why is the White Cane Foundation important/appealing to you?

As a volunteer at Lakeview School on Mondays, I have the privilege of starting my week by helping kids select new clothing to take home that day in their Bundle of Joy. The excitement the kids feel is contagious! I leave Lakeview filled with hope and joy — ready to take on the rest of the week.
